The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching.
Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.įor PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. So we have some community goals that revolved around sharing, and unfortunately Kickstarter does not track these (for some reason I thought they had) so I'm going back to the old way of doing this, by creating links for each platform. These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. If you haven't voted yet, the first round of voting closes (8:30am est Tuesday June 13). We decided to give you, the backers, a hand in deciding which beasts are going to get into the book (its a tough decision).
Second, I spent all day yesterday making a catchy video for the KS campaign, I would have done it last week but parents were visiting and took all my free time :/īut alas, the video is complete!! (not sure what's up with the preview image)Īs you may know, we decided on 15 of the 20 beasts that are in the book.
Thank you all and we appreciate your love and support!!Īlmost 50%!! Voting Update & New Share links!įirst in news we're 45% funded which is amazing!!
Each spread features an amazing piece of art by Conceptopolis and a description of how the creature mates, egg care (if applicable) and how to rear/train said beast. The Baby Bestiary is a systemless art/lorebook, exploring what it would be like to rear said beast. In the next vote, it will be fun to see who ranks next :)įor who have joined us but don't know what the Baby Bestiary is. It was a great race and I was surprised to see the Harpy and Cockatrice as the next highest contenders. Welcome the Faerie Dragon, Manticore and Unicorn to the party!! We can't thank you enough for your eagerness, support and contribution to voting for 3 of the 5 beasts that will go into the book.
